More Info on Smallville Season 11! (The Comicbook that is) :/

Posted by SOS Staff On February - 10 - 2012

As previously mentioned, DC Entertainment will be releasing a comic book series called "Smallville Season 11", written by comic book writer and former Smallville scribe Bryan Q. Miller.  However, there was some stuff fans might want to know:

This comic book series will pick up 6 months after Clark Kent donned the cape and blue suit and saved the world from the invasion of Apokalips. THIS WILL NOT PICK UP SEVEN YEARS IN THE FUTURE WHERE THE SERIES ENDED! There will also be former friends and family members returning in this comic book series including Oliver Queen, Chloe Sullivan, Lex Luthor, General Sam Lane, and many others. Now, the most important thing to remember here is that this will first be released as a DIGITAL SERIES, meaning it will be released online before it is released in print form. It will be released digitally starting April, 13, 2012, with new digital chapters released weekly.

Green Arrow Series Coming to the CW?

Posted by SOS Staff On January - 13 - 2012

A "Green Arrow" television series is being planned for The CW with Greg Berlanti, Marc Guggenheim and Andrew Kreisberg writing and executive producing, EW reports.

Dating all the way back to 1941 when he made his first appearance in "More Fun Comics" #73, Oliver Queen is a billionaire who leads a double life as expert archer and costumed hero Green Arrow. Over the years, Queen has been a member of the Justice League and even Mayor of his hometown, Star City.

Justin Hartley previously played a television version of the character on "Smallville", becoming a regular cast member in later seasons. It's not mentioned whether or not the new series will connect in any way, but it is noted that Hartley is not being sought to play the role at this time.

"Green Arrow" isn't the only DC superhero being planned for the small screen. Plans for a "Booster Gold" pilot were announced late last year with "Blue Beetle," "Deadman" and "Spectre" series still believed to be in various stages of development. Of course, just because a network expresses an interest in a pilot doesn't mean that a series will see the light of day, as was the case with last year's proposed "Wonder Woman" series.

Behind-the-Scene footage of Erica Durance as Wonder Woman!!

Posted by SOS Staff On January - 9 - 2012

OK folks listen up, Erica Durance is not only set to guest star in this week's episode of NBC's "Harry's Law," she's also appearing as Wonder Woman. Sort of. Durance, best known for starring as Lois Lane on "Smallville," will be playing a woman named Annie Bilson who is on trial for vigilantism. Her character just happens to take to the streets dressed as the Themysciran princess and the show, created by David E. Kelley, is making use of the costume that was designed for his never-aired "Wonder Woman" pilot. (You can check out that show's would-be star, Adrianne Palicki, modeling the costume in an image released last year). The episode, airing this Wednesday, January 11th at 9:00pm ET, actually marks the second time that Durance has donned a Wonder Woman outfit for television. As Lois Lane, she wore a different take on the costume in the 2010 "Smallville" episode "Warrior," identifying herself as an "Amazon Princess" when the character headed to a comic book convention. Now, watch the footage and try not to drool on your keyboard!

Smallville Fans Will Get Their Season 11! (Sort of..)

Posted by SOS Staff On December - 7 - 2011

Bryan Q. Milller, story editor and writer on the CW series, says that ‘Smallville’ might have more stories in it yet. Miller has picked up the idea of continuing ‘Smallville’ in novel form. The proposed novel would, in essence, be a sort of season 11.  There’s no official announcement from either CW or DC Comics, so Miller’s idea could switch tracks and end up being totally different altogether.  I wouldn’t be at all surprised if Miller’s ‘Smallville’ season 11 ends up back in the format from which its lead character originated. The real question begging to be asked is: Will it still be ‘Smallville’ if the characters have left the namesake town? Wouldn’t it just be Superman?

Looking back at the Pilot Episode of Smallville

Erica Durance IS Wonder Woman

Posted by SOS Staff On November - 16 - 2011

'Smallville' actress Erica Durance will guest star on'Harry's Law' as Wonder Woman … sort of.

According to TVLine, Durance will appear in a Season 2 episode of 'Harry's Law' as a "psychologically infirm" woman who thinks she's the DC Comics character. In her Wonder Woman persona, Durance's character seeks revenge on those who commit domestic abuse.

Durance will appear in the 11th episode of 'Harry's Law,' which does not have an airdate yet.

Audiences may recall NBC produced a pilot for a new Wonder Woman series from 'Harry's Law' creator David E. Kelley. The pilot never made it to series.

No word on whether Durance will don the iconic ensemble. (Keep your fingers crossed!)
