For what's becoming the biggest Summer ever for comic book movies, we have a 'Return' of our favorite parody's of our greatest heroes. "It's Just Some Random Guy" has dusted off his favorite action figures and has started YouTubing the crap out of them (again). Here's his lastest parody featuring The Green Lantern and Deadpool. And for those of you who were unaware, both characters were portrayed by Ryan Reynolds..Well, let the hilarity ensue..

If the role is in fact "major", like previous reports suggested, it's possible this "General" could be General Sam Lane, father of Lois Lane, which actress Amy Adams will portray. If true, who do you think?
Christopher Meloni, the latest star linked to Zack Snyder's Superman movie Man of Steel, will not be playing villain Lex Luthor (as some online fans have speculated). When Vulture caught up with the now ex-Law & Order: SVU star at the Public Theater Gala earlier this week, he told us he'd be instead playing a general in the movie. But when we pressed for more information about the role, he said, "I can't tell you, or I'd have to kill you." We did manage to learn that he starts filming at the end of August and he'll shoot his part over the course of five months in locations including Chicago, Vancouver, and Edwards Air Force Base.

After 15 years of wedded bliss (or as close as comic books get to it), are Superman and Lois Lane about to be single again?
DC Comics Co-Publisher Dan Didio hints to PopcornBiz that, on the heels of the recently announcement of a line-wide revamp that will involve both wholesale changes and subtle tweaks to its entire roster of characters, the long-standing marriage between the Man of Steel and Metropolis’ most intrepid reporter just might be wiped away in the new continuity.
“Let’s just say it's being reexamined,” says Didio, who oversees the 77-year-old comic book company, which relaunches all of its titles with 52 new #1 issues in September, “because it's something that I think is something that is so valuable to the character's story that you really want to explore all facets of it. Not just as it exists currently.”
–Huh?

The negotiations are on for Russell Crowe to join the cast of the Superman reboot Variety reports that Crowe will play the superhero's father, Jor-El, a role that the legendary Marlon Brando took on opposite Christopher Reeve in 1978. The Tudors' Henry Cavill is on board as the title character and the rest of the cast reads like an Oscar class roster. |

There's Oscar-nominated Amy Adams as Superman's love interest, Lois Lane, and co-stars like Academy Award winner Kevin Costner and Oscar nominees Diane Lane and Michael Shannon, plus Oscar-nominated husband-and-wife production team Christopher Nolan and Emma Thomas (Inception). Not to mention Crowe's 2001 Oscar win for best actor in Gladiator. Crowe is a late addition to the cast, as Man of Steel is scheduled to start production next month. |

Just a little alternate version/placement for the Krypton scene that was cut out of the theatrical version….using concept art and other music. Rough, and the scene/dialogue would have to support it more, but perhaps a better/shorter way of using it than starting the movie off with it for 10-15 minutes. Of course, if it was intended this way, Supes would say more about it in voiceover, and Lois would react to it more. But still, I think it would have been better to use that kind of sequence here, instead of starting the film off with 10 minutes of gloom and destruction. anyway…enjoy..
