Zack Snyder has recently been confirmed as the director of Superman The Man of Steel and he confirms that the new film will have absolutely nothing to do with any of the previous Superman movies.
It will not continue the story of Superman reurns of the earlier Christopher Reeves movies. Zack also remains tight-lipped on which actor may be playing the man of steel. But it appears that Brandon Routh may be replaced for the fresh start on the franchise.
