Australian actor Michael Bishop has been re-cast in the role of Jonathan Kent in Season 3 of “Superman & Lois” following the departure of Jordan Elsass from the series due to mental health reasons.
Bishop’s prior acting credits include a recurring role on the 2018 Australian fantasy drama television series “Grace Beside Me” and in the 2021 Disney Channel Original Movie, “Spin”.
Bishop will join series regulars Tyler Hoechlin as Clark Kent/Superman, Bitsie Tulloch as Lois Lane, Alex Garfin as Jordan Kent, Emmanuelle Chriqui as Lana Lang-Cushing, Dylan Walsh as Sam Lane, Wolé Parks as John Henry Irons, Tayler Buck as Natalie Irons, Inde Navarrette as Sarah Cushing, Erik Valdez as Kyle Cushing and Sofia Hasmik as Chrissy Beppo.
“Superman & Lois” is scheduled to return mid-season to The CW although a premiere date has yet to be announced.
