Kevin Smith was interviewed recently and basically said, with the success of Star Trek, J.J. Abrams would be a great candidate to take on the Superman Franchise. Smith also said Abrams would be the one to give Superman that "human touch" that he was lacking in Returns.
Just in case you ever wondered if Superman could be harmed by a lightsaber, look no further! Below is an excerpt from Yahoo Answers that explains just that!

I like a the end where it’s summed up that basically hitting Superman with a lightsaber would be like hitting a regular human with a wet noodle…hehe!
Below is a freeze-frame from the Season Finale of Smallville where you can see the full letter from Clark to the citizens of Metropolis. Kinda makes you wonder if it was meant to be read or not by Smallville fans becasue it was only on screen for a moment. If you have trouble reading the image below you can find the full transcript on SupermanHomepage.com
TV Guide Magazine recently interviewed Sam Witwer (Davis/Doomsday) to find out how he felt about the writer’s decision to kill him off the show. He also spoke about the Jimmy/Chloe love triangle he was tangled in and much more!
"When he signed on as Smallville’s hunky paramedic, Davis Bloome, actor Sam Witwer knew it would only be for one season, the show’s last, everyone believed at the time. But a few story lines in the season finale caught even him by surprise."
Here at SupermanofSteel.com we’re always open to feedback and Superman Fan submissions in any form! Recently we had the oppurtunity to talk with Jared Simeone, a Superman Fan and aspiring artist, about displaying some of his work here on the website. Below you will find a link to the gallery site we created for Jared.
Something’s been bothering me about last nights Season Finale of Smallville. Actually, two things really. The first being this: What did Clark do differently to prevent his own death?? Sure, he was warned by the Legion he would die, but they never really said what he did because of that warning. Was it just the plan he made with the Justice League that did it? I mean, wouldn’t he have come up with that plan without the warning from the future?
So thats my first problem with last nights episode. The Second is: WHY DID CHLOE NOT USE HER POWERS TO SAVE JIMMY? She used them before in similiar situations to save people from dying, Why NOT Jimmy?? I mean she even used them to save Lex last season!! Why wouldn’t she use them to save her own husband?? She just watched him die in her arms! What’s up with that?
R.I.P Jimmy Olsen
Please get back to me on this one, Smallville Fans. I really need to know!
EW’s Aussiello got the scoop on Ashmore’s last episode. Below is an excerpt from his report:
"In tonight’s season finale, Smallville managed to kill off an iconic Superman character without incurring the wrath of the evil mythos police. I’m referring, of course, to the death of Jimmy Olsen at the hands of a de-Doomsdayed Davis. The show later revealed (or strongly implied?) that the shutterbug’s younger brother is, in fact, the real Jimmy. Problem solved! Of course, that’s little consolation to Aaron Ashmore, whose three-year stint as faux Jimmy ended with a steel pipe through the chest."
Now you can own the costume of your favorite superhero. The suit late actor Christopher Reeve wore as "Superman" will go under the hammer in Australia.
The outfit that was donned by Reeve in the 1983 film Superman III is now being offered for sale in Melbourne by a private collector, reports contactmusic.com.
The costume is expected to fetch between $11,470 (7,646 pounds) to $15,294 (10,196 pounds) when it goes to auction May 24.
Reeve played the superhero in four movies between 1978 and 1987. He died aged 52 in 2004.
The CW’s official description of the episode that airs next Thursday:
Oliver (Justin Hartley) tells Clark (Tom Welling) he must kill Davis (Sam Witwer), as Doomsday is a serious threat and must be stopped at all costs. However, Clark struggles with taking a human life, so the Green Arrow and his team decide to take matters into their own hands.
Lois (Erica Durance) takes on Tess (Cassidy Freeman), but the fight takes a shocking turn.
Meanwhile, Chloe (Allison Mack) gets caught in the middle of Oliver and Clark’s battle over killing Davis. Aaron Ashmore also stars.
James Marshall directed the episode written by Brian Peterson & Kelly Souders.
