LANA ABSORBS CLARK’S POWERS AND GOES AFTER LEX —

Kryptonite and high voltage mix during a lightning storm, causing Lana (Kristin Kreuk) to absorb Clark’s (Tom Welling) powers. Using her newfound super powers, she breaks into Lex’s (Michael Rosenbaum) safe and steals incriminating evidence which she then delivers to Lois (Erica Durance) and Grant (Michael Cassidy), demanding they run a story exposing Lex’s secrets. After Grant refuses to use stolen material, Lana decides to take care of Lex herself. Clark tries to stop Lana from killing Lex and a super battle ensues between the two. Allison Mack, Erica Durance, Aaron Ashmore and John Glover also star. Charles Beeson directed the episode written by Brian Peterson & Kelly Souders.

"The residents of Smallville are thrilled when Warrior Angel, a movie based on a comic book, begins shooting in town. However, after the lead actress, Rachel Davenport (guest star Christina Milian) takes off in stunt car with cut brakes, Clark (Tom Welling) must step in to stop the runaway car. Unfortunately, an obsessed fan witnesses this heroic event and decides Clark is a real-life superhero, whose girlfriend Lana (Kristin Kreuk) must be eliminated so Clark can fulfill his destiny. Meanwhile, Lex (Michael Rosenbaum) discovers Lionel (John Glover) at the cabin."

 The CW gave us the following description of the episode:

"Kara (Laura Vandervoort) desperately wants to make friends and fit in on Earth, but Clark (Tom Welling) tells her to keep a low profile until she can get her powers under control. Despite his warnings, when the ‘Miss Sweet Corn’ beauty pageant comes around, Kara signs up and meets the competition — Tyler (Eva Marcille), Carly (Elisa King) and Tempest (Christine Chatelain) — three meteor-infected vixens who plan to use their powers to steal a treasure map to the hidden Smallville time capsule. After Tyler witnesses Kara using her powers, the girls pretend to be her friends, but are really planning to use her for their devious plan."

Lex employs Dr. Curtis Knox (guest star Dean Cain) to cure the meteor-infected, and Chloe ends up a patient. Meanwhile, John Jones warns Clark that his cousin Kara should not be trusted.

The CW has released some photos from the up-coming 3rd episode of "Smallville" Season 7.

Titled "Fierce" and scheduled to air on October 11th at 8.00pm, here’s the official description…

Airing October 18th on the CW, the fourth episode of the season titled ‘Cure’

The CW recently released the following description about the episode and screen stills:

“LOIS AND CLARK’S” SUPERMAN DEAN CAIN GUEST STARS — Chloe (Allison Mack) learns that a doctor, Dr. Curtis Knox (Dean Cain), has been treating meteor-infected people and removing their abilities. Desperate to get rid of her powers, Chloe makes an appointment to see him, unaware that Dr. Knox has a nefarious plan to kill his patients and harvest their organs. Meanwhile, Kara (Laura Vandervoort) cons Jimmy (Aaron Ashmore) into helping her locate her crystal and defies Clark’s (Tom Welling) order to stay on the farm after she discovers its whereabouts. Lana (Kristin Kreuk) sets up secret surveillance of Lex (Michael Rosenbaum). Erica Durance and John Glover also star. Rick Rosenthal directed the episode written by Al Septien & Turi Meyer

Warner Bros. is moving aggressively ahead with the bigscreen adaptation of DC Comics’ "Justice League of America," with George Miller aboard to direct.
Project, which is in the initial phases of casting, is a pre-strike priority for the studio, which needs a superhero tentpole for 2009.

Still, making all the pieces fit has been complicated by overlapping superhero projects in the pipeline, since "Justice League" features a pantheon of superheroes including Superman and Batman.

Batman and Superman are active properties for the studio, though the next installment in the "Superman" franchise has taken a backseat to "Justice League" in part because Warners is so keen on the "Justice League" script by Kieran and Michele Mulroney.

Beyond the Caped Crusader and Man of Steel, "Justice League" will likely feature Wonder Woman, the Flash and Aquaman. The Green Lantern is also featured in the comicbook.

Several sources close to the project said that Christian Bale, star of the revived "Batman" film franchise, and Brandon Routh, star of Bryan Singer’s "Superman Returns," would probably not appear in the movie.

Helmer Christopher Nolan, current steward of the "Batman" franchise for the studio, would prefer that Warners delay "Justice League" until after he finishes "Batman" projects in development; Bale has also let his uneasiness about "Justice League" be known.

To work around these issues, the studio explored making "Justice League" as an animated film or with motion capture, but all indications are that the pic will be an f/x-driven live-actioner.

Project is so complicated — and casting-dependent — that even those deeply involved are holding their breath until production begins.

"They’re working very hard to get it to happen," said one party close to the project. "But there are so many characters, it’s complicated."

It was for this very reason that many believed Warners would move ahead first with a follow-up to Singer’s "Superman Returns." Singer, however, is busy with Tom Cruise starrer "Valkyrie."

Miller has a warm relationship with Warners. He last helmed "Happy Feet," which generated $379 million in worldwide box office for the studio.

This project could give the studio a launching pad for future Wonder Woman and the Flash pics. The studio has been developing bigscreen adaptations of both DC properties.
