The CW has released the following official description for the second episode of "Smallville" Season 10 entitled "Shield":
DC COMICS' CHARACTERS DEADSHOT, KAT GRANT, CARTER HALL AND SHAYERA APPEAR – After Lois departs for Egypt, the DP hires a new reporter by the name of Kat Grant to take her place. An assassin named Deadshot takes aim at Kat but Clark learns the man has a dangerous agenda that involves The Blur. Carter Hall turns up in Egypt to keep an eye on Lois and he tells Lois about his wife Shayera.
"Shield" will air on The CW at 8pm on Friday, October 1st.
