Bidding on the ultra-rare copy of "Action Comics No. 1" that first went up for auction on ComicConnect.com on November 11th has now exceeded one-million dollars. The issue, which was published in 1938 and cost just 10 cents, is in near-mint condition (graded a 9.0) and previously sold for $86,000 in 1992 and then $150,000 in 1997.


There are only 100 copies known in existence. 

The lure behind the "graphic novel" is it was once owned by Nicholas Cage, but someone stole it from him in 2000.
