The Good News: It’s going to happen!

The Bad News: The WB is pushing for a PG-13 rating (There’s Nothing "PG" about Lobo!)

British filmmaker Guy Ritchie is to follow up his movie "Sherlock Holmes" with a big-screen adaptation of the comic book, "Lobo," Variety reported.
Production on the film about an alien interstellar bounty hunter is slated to begin early next year, the entertainment industry trade newspaper said.

Ritchie, who is perhaps best known as pop star Madonna’s ex-husband, previously directed "RocknRolla," "Snatch" and "Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels."

  1. Maybe if Lobo says words like "fraggin and bastich" and the aliens he kills have GREEN blood, then a the PG-13 shouldn't be too difficult.

  2. UPDATE: Lobo will finally become a big screen adaptation, with 'The Rock' rumored to play the lead. It will be directed by Brad Peyton(Journey 2, Cats & Dogs: Revenge of Kitty Galore), which means it might be headed for a PG-rating, with a PG-13 distinction at the very least.
