Professor Emil Hamilton will be in the ‘Man of Steel’ Spoiler Clue?

Production continues on Zack Snyder’s reboot of the Superman cinematic franchise, Man Of Steel, and it turns out that there’s still room for a bit of extra casting. Variety is reporting that The West Wing star Richard Schiff (last seen in Johnny English Reborn) has signed up to play Doctor Emil Hamilton in the movie. The Doctor Hamilton in question is believed to be Emil Hamilton from the comics, although whether he’ll be spun as friend or foe of Superman’s isn’t clear. In recent years, Hamilton has been more of the latter than the former. The film is set for release on June 14th 2013. What do you guys think? Are we going to see S.T.A.R Labs in the film with possible Superman experimentation?!

Rumor Alert: Lex Luthor Cast in The Man of Steel

The latest from the "mill" is that a cameo of Lex Luthor will make it into the Man of Steel played by none other than the Hangover Star, Bradley Cooper!

According to Cosmic BookNews, a tip informed them that after Cooper's role in the upcoming adaptation of Milton's Paradise Lost fell through, the actor was recruited to make what will simply be a cameo in the upcoming Superman reboot as the iconic industrialist who emphasizes the "mega" in megalomaniac.

This rumor is certainly unconfirmed, "take with a grain of salt" material. However, stranger things have happened, and director, Zack Snyder may realistically want to plant the seeds for a potential sequel by including a Luthor cameo. (Whether he is played by Cooper, or someone else.)

Amy Adams Reveals That Henry Cavill Has A Few Frog-like qualities

In a recent chat about her role in The Muppets and her upcoming role in Man of Steel, Amy Adams said, “Henry Cavill is very Kermitty! There is a humility to Henry and that’s one of the reasons his Superman is going to be so compelling. He has this beautiful face and humble spirit and that’s really a hard combination to come upon.”

The Muppets opens on 10 February 2012, with Man Of Steel following on 14 June 2013.

Waiting for The Man of Steel Trailer? Don’t Hold Your Breath

"Man of Steel Movie Trailer to Debut in Six Months (That's right! Half a year away, folks!). Warner Bros. will reveal the first trailer and new images this June to prepare for Superman’s highly anticipated return to the big-screen. Warner Bros. will begin promoting its Zack Snyder-directed Superman reboot ‘Man of Steel’ a whole year before it’s 2013 release date. The studio had a similar strategy for ‘The Dark Knight Rises’. The teaser trailer for that film debuted July 18, 2011, almost a year to the day of its July 20, 2012 scheduled release date. The ‘Man of Steel’ teaser trailer is set to debut on or before June 11th with official movie stills to appear in movie magazines and online before that date. Superman Sequel Rumors Buzzing About (..Swarming)

"Warner Bros. are on the hunt for a screenwriter to pen the script for a sequel to Superman movie 'Man of Steel'.

The production company is already on the hunt for a screenwriter to pen the script for a follow up to the forthcoming movie, which is set to see Henry Cavill take on the role of Clark Kent/Superman, with Amy Adams as his primary love interest Lois Lane.

—-If you ask me about the whole thing..Well, lets just say a hatching chicken proverb is spinning in my head right now. Let's face it, Rebooting Superman is an incredibly difficult task (Just ask Brian Singer about it). We all want 'Man of Steel' to win at the box office, but no one knows for sure what we're going to get. Let's all just hope 'Man of Steel' delivers and then we can talk merchandising, tv spots, and sequels.

How Does Superman (Henry Cavill) Expect to Shave that Beard??

The Good Folks over at MovieLine.com sat down with Cavill and had the following questions for him:

While shooting Man of Steel you've got people wondering things like what earthly tools are strong enough to shave or maintain Superman's beard. Is it a strange thing to deal with, people focusing so much on these kinds of non-serious aspects instead of your work?

[Laughs] "I think in this day and age it's all part and parcel. There are people taking photographs of us working all the time. It's just one of those things; you've got to take it in stride. And you know, I put all the prep work into it. I'm not necessarily being shot in the best, most flattering of lights, but I put the hard work in and the performance will come later. People will see the movie, hopefully. It'll help when people see these photos beforehand, from various movies, to sell them more on the character. So it's less of that transition phase from seeing an actor on screen to believing a character and getting wrapped up in the story being told."

Superman's such a familiar character, so deeply ingrained in pop cultural history. What do you think fans will be most surprised to see added to the canon in Man of Steel?

"There's only so much I can say, I'm afraid, about the job or the character. But what I can tell you is that we're going to make him easier to relate to, and it's a modernization of the role."

Henry Cavill: The Action-Figure. Coming Soon.

The LA Times wrote a bio of Cavill for the release of his new film "Immortals", where Henry commented on his reaction to having his likeness turned into an action figure for "Man of Steel"

"I met the guy who is making the action figures the other day, and it was an absolutely wonderful experience, but I was absolutely stunned by the whole experience, too,"

Cavill said.

"I was shaking hands with a guy who is making a toy out of me. I don't think there's any shame in being really excited about it. It's mega-weird, but as long as you don't get too wrapped up in it, it's great. And you know, I don't want it to end."

Actor Henry Cavill Compares Man Of Steel To DC's "New 52" Henry Cavill compares Man of Steel to DC's New 52 and also discusses his research into the source material and his feelings about the fan feedback.

Lang has a great write up for the Washington Examiner about Henry Cavill and some great quotes from the actor as well as his supporting cast from both Immortals and Man of Steel.Cavill on what fans can expect from Zack Snyder's Man of Steel: Cavill compared the "Man of Steel", written by screenwriter David S. Goyer and directed by "300" and "Watchmen" auteur Zack Snyder, to "The New 52," DC Comics' dramatic and so-far successful revamping of the origins and costumes of many DC Universe titles and characters, including Wonder Woman and Green Lantern and of course Superman.

"When that came out, everyone went, 'Arrhhh! Everything's changed,'" exclaimed Cavill. "It's part of the evolution of the character. There is a modernization to it, and certainly our style is making him easier to associate with because it's pretty tough to associate with an invulnerable alien." Cavill on coming close to playing Superman before and the contacts he made at WB: "It's actually been proven that just because I didn't get Superman then doesn't mean that I can't get Superman now," said Cavill without sounding the least bit arrogant. "You can't let it get you down. You've got to look at the positives. I got to meet with Warner Bros. and everyone there. It's beneficial, really." Cavill on the fan reaction and his research into the source material: "There are a lot of people who have dedicated their life to loving this character. … Their opinion does matter," noted Cavill. "I've done my research on the source material. I have my opinions on the various bits and bobs, but sometimes there will be a little gem out there about one of the books, and I'll say to myself, 'Yeah. That's a good point.'" Immortals director Taresem Singh also sings Cavill's praises and states he will be a wonderful Superman: "He will deliver in spades," said "Immortals" director Singh of Cavill's Greek hero portrayal. "There's no drawing this guy back at this point in his life. He's so committed. … In my film, he had to act, but he truly is a Superman." Singh said he was sold on Cavill for Immortals when he gave the actor a simple scene to read, and Cavill effortlessly interpreted it five different ways.
