What would cause Superman to drink like this??

Have you considered the fact that both his parents are dead, he's the last of his kind because his home planet exploded, his dual identity forces him to live a lie everyday of his life, and finally, the fact that his super-strength makes it near impossible to get laid without killing someone.

So give the guy a break! He's practically a god and he chooses to save people! He could run the show or basically enslave humanity if wanted to..so yeah…is this news??

This is very interesting topic for me. As a Superman fan I'm not really sure how I should feel when people try to draw parallels like this.  Do you think this kind of speculation is good or bad for the character? And what about all other fictional characters?  Is it necessary to look too deep into what they represent?? Please feel free to leave your take on the matter in a comment below…

I feel just like this guy (the narrator). I've always wondered as a kid why there were no real "superheroes" out there in the real world. Sure pulling off being a Superman would be near impossible, but what about Batman or Iron Man? All it would take is alotta money, a costume, a mask, and some serious skills and/or ambition. You think someone could really pull it off or should the lines of fantasy and fiction not be crossed?

If you’re like me, you may have been asking yourself "Hey what ever happened to that Superman Sequel I’ve been patiently waiting for?" Well the good folks at the WB have been releasing statements about how the studio will NOT pursue a "Superman Returns" sequel anytime soon.

 

My sentiments exactly, Superman.

The project is currently on hold until the studio resolves all the legal issues with the heirs of the character’s creators. The goal is to settle with the Siegel and Shuster families, and then work out a deal with them to merge all the Superman rights.

Executives at Warners are eager to get a new "Superman" movie off the ground and have been gathering pitches that have been coming in. And even though the studio already lost the rights to Superman’s origins, after the merger, Warner Bros are likely to reboot the franchise, which will once again include the origins that we have seen hundreds of times.

The CW Source has reported that the Wonder Twins are coming to the new installment of Smallville, and that they’ve already been cast.

Anyway, Zan and Jayna heading to Smallville was confirmed by Zap2it’s Brill Bundy. Revamped, of course. He reported that 7th Heaven’s David Gallagher has been cast as Tanner, described as a "hot skater dude." Meanwhile, Warehouse 13′s Allison Scagliotti will be taking on the role of Twyla, a "Pixie-punk teen."

As the Wonder Twins, they’d be able to communicate telepathically and take on a variety of forms. He gets water and she gets animals.

Tanner and Twyla will first appear on the fifth episode of Smallville, which is titled "Idol." They’ll certainly be stirring up trouble for Clark (Tom Welling). If not, they’ll most likely be helping him out

Let me first just say that I’ve never missed an episode of Smallville and that I’ve been loyal to the show even before it started in 2001. That being said I was really hoping they would end it this year. (Sorry, die-hard fans out there!)

They have really exhausted their story lines and cut major cast members this year. Also, until recently, I let it slide that they made drastic changes to the Superman continuity. But, Doomsday vs. Clark…Really? come on! And now Clark at the Daily Planet with Lois and no Superman! Geez!

With another season they’ll be grasping for material and stretching out the inevitable. Really though, what else can be said? He needs some snazzy red and blues and the ability to fly — The End.

I’m really not trying to hate on Smallville. I just want to see them do justice to the characters (that are left!) and end it in a dignified way. We have all seen TV shows go bad and, if you ask me, Smallville is getting awfully ripe.

Well, Fall is almost here again and we all know what that means…NO MORE F***ING RERUNS!! Yes thats right our favorite shows from last season return once again with all new episodes!

…Even Smallville is coming back for it’s EIGTH SEASON (Yes it’s been on that long)

If you are having trouble recalling where last season left us, let me fill you in. Lionel is dead, Lana might as well be, Lex is gone for good, and it looks like Kara won’t be returning either.

So thats 4 major cast members leaving the show.. oh ..and did I if forget to mention that the producers/ creators of the show have decided to pack their bags too.

So do the math folks. Smallville was already steadily declining in my book without these devastating changes so what can we possibly be looking forward to this season?!

Well, here’s what we know about Season 8 so far. We’re getting two new villans that don’t look very promising. (check the back posts for more info on them) Clark will get a job at the Daily Planet (woohoo?). About the only promising news I can get from my sources is that we will see, in some fashion, the Justice League again.

Sorry if this post sounded way negative to all the die-hard Smallville fans, but I gotta be honest. Smallville has gotten really dry and repetitive the last few seasons. It pretty much ended for me when Jonathan Kent died and soon after they wrote out Martha (Anette O’toole)….Why did they do that?!

So for all those Smallville fans out ther enjoy what I hope to be the last season. I’ll be tuning in too, September 18th on the CW for the premiere.
